Looking for celebrating in style yet want to cut down on the moolah? Here are some ways to curb the expenses and at the same have a blast at this year’s Halloween party.

Keep The Menu Simple

While fixing the menu, try to keep it simple as possible. There is no requirement for a la carte meals – rather opt for three simple dishes. In case of desserts, stick to the basic type sans any exotic fruits. Usually, guests look forward to drinks and snacks. Keep an economical variety in case of snacks and drinks. Stick to the traditional ginger, barley ale and the all popular yet cheap beer.

Decoration Sans Frills

There is no point in spending a bomb for few hours. Instead of seeking professional help, get the family members and pals to decorate the venue. In the Irish culture, Halloween parties are all about family time. This will help you in spending quality time together as well as save those extra bucks. You can also pep up the ambience with the traditional way of decoration like a carved pumpkin that won’t cost you too much.

Table Layout

During the table layout arrangement, keep your hands off exotic cutlery. There is no requirement for aroma candles et al. You can rather opt for seasonal flowers like fresh calendula and asters with some fern leaves for a colorful look.

Dress Simple

Keep the theme simple as it will help you in cutting down the cost. Grand theme would cost more while selecting the dress. You can apply lots of exotic flowers like European roses and orchids for the glam factor. Gothic themes would sore the budget as gowns and jackets are more expensive.

Put an end to your worries and enjoy the Halloween party with élan.

Finding an adult costume – whether for Halloween or a simple costume party or ball, can seem like a daunting task. However, there are many things to keep in mind as you are looking for an adult costume. With a little luck and a little perseverance, you can find the perfect adult costume for your needs.

First of all, if you can, avoid the rush to that holiday or even to that party weekend. Buy your Halloween costume or your costume for that masquerade ball as far in advance as possible. As the time draws near for parties and trick or treating, you’ll find that most costume shops seem to have nothing at all, because they simply don’t. Especially in small towns, or areas where there aren’t very many costume shops, costumes can fly off of the rack in the weeks and days leading up to the time when you’ll most need them. So, shop early if you can.

A better way to shop would be to do so online. You can find a multitude of costumes that fit your needs, as well as your distinct shape, well before the time when you’ll need them. You can sort through dozens of styles when you’re shopping online, and find the absolute perfect get-up for you. And nothing can beat having it delivered directly to your door, either.

There are so many different costumes that have become popular – and the great thing about adult costumes is that you can make your own spin on a typical costume, and create a look that is unique to you alone. This can be a great way to make sure that even though there are other people in the same type of costume at your party, you look completely unique and different.

The old standbys are always popular, and also easy to customize. Witches and wizards fill each Halloween party or masquerade ball, and they are easy to make your own. You can choose the various parts of the costume, and you can choose just how gory you’d like the makeup to be. For a party with children, or for a person who just doesn’t want to be scary, you can even be a kind old witch or wizard, especially now a days, when these things are quite popular.

Also popular in recent times has been pirate costumes. It seems that each party I simply full of pirates, and again this is a costume that can be created by using different colors, styles, and selections of the same type of materials. You can be a one-legged pirate in bright colored stripes, or a cheerful ship’s deckhand in black and white. With this adult costume, you can let your imagination be your guide.

Indeed, with all adult costumes, imagination is the key. You can turn a devil costume from scary to fun and cute, and back again simply by varying the degree to which you wear the various parts of the costumes. With make up, hair dos, and extras, you can create just about any character you’d like to create, even if you purchase an already made adult costume. Costumes are your chance to let loose and be creative. Edited by Hetsil Protage

Admit it, you’re one of those people who are too worried about dressing up in a costume during Halloween because you immediately think about how stupid you might look. To a lot of people Halloween is that time of the year to dress either amazingly or embarrassingly. In other words it’s a hit or miss prospect. This might be true, but only if you’re planning to dress up like a ghost or a clown. That’s because dressing up for Halloween doesn’t have to involve white make up, a red nose and big shoes, or a white long dress and brown paper bag with two holes. With a little dash of resourcefulness and awareness of characters in mainstream media, you can find some great costume ideas that will keep you looking attractive and confident.

People in uniform

This may be an unimaginative and safe bet, but it’s a sure-fire way to look attractive. Considering that women swoon over men in uniform such as soldiers and firemen due to oozing masculinity, it’s no secret that dressing up in any uniform is a good way to go during Halloween parties. This applies to women as well. Women can take advantage of the fact that men can’t keep their eyes off the outfits of cheerleaders, school girls and nurses, to name just a few.

Pop Culture

Imitating characters portrayed by celebrities is another great costume idea. Just think of famous movie characters and popular media personalities in pop culture. There are plenty of fantastic options for you. Dressing up like Austin Powers, for example, won’t disappoint because the International Man of Mystery will never go out of style. Or, you could also dress up as a pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Since ladies love Captain Jack Sparrow, dressing up as him would definitely spice things up a bit. The possibilities are endless. You can dress up as a gangster, a cowboy, as Zorro, or The Joker portrayed by the late Heath Ledger.

Sports idols

This is perhaps the easiest of all options due to its simplicity and availability. You can easily purchase the required clothing from any nearby sporting goods store. Plus there are so many kinds of sports out there and hundreds of renowned athletes, making your job of picking one out so much easy. From American football to European soccer, wear your favorite athlete’s jersey coupled with all the appropriate accessories such as helmets, bands, and shoes, and pray that you would be able to spot a woman in the party with the same idea and dressed as Maria Sharapova.

Cultural and traditional costumes

Just like sports attires, you can’t go wrong with traditional costumes because you’re absolutely sure people will recognize your outfit. If someone doesn’t, you’re either doing it wrong or the person’s a space alien. It’s easy to do too; just pick a time period like the ‘60s or ‘80s, and dress up like they did at that time. For instance, you can dress like the 1930s gangster outfit like Al Capone or John Dillinger. Or, you can also opt for something more exciting such as the ‘70s leisure suits or ‘80s ultra tight black leather tops and pants. GP

The year has already passed by so quickly so what is the next event on everyone’s party calendar? Halloween, yes that great time of year when we throw a party and get terribly excited about having the best costume and most scary unique theme!

Halloween has developed into a celebration for adults and children alike, both taking the event equally as seriously. Over the years Halloween has developed from small household parties, to street parties, to clubs, pubs and discos joining the theme and fully embracing the Halloween culture that captures us all!

So how can we make a good Halloween party, GREAT!

Not forgetting the basics: In my opinion sticking “On Theme” keeps the Halloween spirit in a party, stick to a Halloween theme, and keep it scary and spooky. It helps affirm the season and celebration.

Music: Look into music jingle CD’s. There are a wide range on the market that specialise is scary horror effects which can be a great way to create your “Spooky Mood” and stand out from other parties.

Venue & Décor: This is probably the most important. If you are going to keep to the Halloween theme you need your surroundings to reflect that. Are a few pumpkins really enough to capture the Halloween mood? Firstly to create a marvellous Halloween setting you’ll need a bit of room. If the party is in your house be sure to clear the area of all breakables and valuables then you can get to work on setting the theme. The way to go has got to be Halloween props & decorative materials. There is a wide range of materials on the market like pumpkin cloth, and black linen that can be hung easily to darken a room. Need a bit more Arghhh! No problem go for creepy crawlies. Fake spider web material is really versatile and can be applied across many areas it looks fantastic and is a really cost effective way of setting the scene. Many other Halloween props can be added around your area, such as coffins, gargoyles and bats all to add to that spooky feel! To finish off, how about some extra guests? Prop skeletons and mummies are a must! They can be placed in all kinds of humorous positions and places and are sure to give your party guests something to talk about!

Halloween props and accessories can be well worth the investment. A good idea is to spilt the cost amongst friends. Most Halloween props on the market can be easily stored away meaning a host of people can take their turn throwing the party and reuse the props year after year.
